Hmmmm
So it was brought to my attention last night that I should probably update my LJ.
Sarge and I are working on things, the ex is no longer an issue and we're moving forward, slowly.. but I am ok with that.. it works or it doesnt, and Im keeping a look out for anything else that may come my way.. Wow that makes me so seem like a player doesnt it???
Anyway.. Today is mothers day.. I got to spend the morning with Sarge, and the rest of the day with my demon, who is happily flipping through the TV channels at the moment. We made a quick stop in to see Mike and Mel.. yeah.. not so good a day for them. I hate it when my friends fight.. no good.. But they'll get through it.. they are too cute a couple not to. Every relationship has its moments.
11 Days and counting.. Ill be 29 this year.. wow.. But I am looking forward to this birthday. I ordered my kilt on Friday, so it should be here next week. Ill be surrounded by friends and family for the Festival. Twin, hopefully, is coming up.. Cant wait! Mel will be up.. Jiggly Sisters!!! Jill has recently refound her way into our group. We went to highschool together, I introduced her to her husband.. its nice to be able to hang out and be in touch again. I realize how much I miss it sometimes. I dont miss highschool, just some of the friends I had. But Ive kept the best ones in touch, I still have Lori and now Jill again! All in all my friends circle has grown in the last two months with some much loved new friends that I am very thankful for. Love you guys!
I spent most of last week just working and trying to figure out finances for the rest of the month.. nothing exciting really. Than I spent 7hrs on Thursday to draw up a new design for a new Highland Games being hosted in Midland. This is the second piece that has been commissioned. Im doing it for free now, but its getting my work and name out there. Mike is fairly certain that I will have the Beaver Island games asking for something again this year, and I may have sealed a deal with the Midland Games if they liked the design as much as Im hearing. I asked around a bit on the Alma games. But that is a well established Games and my information coming back is that they have a set person for them. But there are a number of games through the summer, so Ill keep plucking away at it. Its getting me back into drawing. Which is something I have been missing for a long time. After finishing the Midland piece, Mike asked me to draw up a backplate tattoo for him. Thats going to be fun. The man is huge, he's not called the Michigan Moose for nothing. But I have a design in mind, just need to get it to paper and up to talk to the Tattoo Artist. Ive been thinking about taking up tattooing again. If his artist is interested, maybe I can get an apprenticeship. If not.. well thats alright, I'll have a human billboard with my art on his back :)
Thats about all I have for an update right now. Anyone looking to hit the Mid Michigan area for Memorial Day weekend, is more than welcome to come and party with us Crazy Scots.. if you're lucky you will see me in my kilt.. and thats as close as you'll see to me in a dress or skirt!!!
