So on the library listserv I subscribe to one of the things people post are job openings. This past week two library's posted ads for Youth Librarian positions, one part time and one full time. I'm only half way done with my degree, still looking at three semesters before I compleatly my MILS, but they both said they would consider students, so I figure what the hell, rewrite my resume, bang out a cover letter and fax it over. Today I get a call from the one library wanting an interview. So Monday afternoon I have an interview for a full time with benifits Youth Services positon. Basicly my dream job. 35 hours a week at about $30,000 a year. Compare to my current job situation which is about 42 hours a week between my two jobs totaling $18,000 a year. Sweet.
I have no idea if i'll get it, I'm sure there is a good chance that someone more qulified will apply, but still, keeping my fingers crossed.
