Hey hey now look who's making the blog happen! Yeah, that would be me!
Seems like all my posts start like this! :( Seriously tho its my goal to update more. Its been forever. Not like I feel like anyone reads this thing...but it occurs to me that I should do it for my own personal reference. Ha ha. Since I do have a shoty memory.
Annnyyyywaaayy... lets see whats goin down?
Not much really. It's summer here and now were in deep in 'sam-bok' which is the hotest period of the ummer from mid july to mid august. So its wiced hot and veeeery sticky. :P Hate it! (done in that voice from In Living Color..remember those fabulous gay boys...?)
Other than that, working a lot. Picked up a few extra classes to make some extra cash for next year. The basic plan for next year is as follows:
Step one: Finish contract end of Feb.
Step two: Take a month off in March to travel somewhere (plans pending...if I could ever get Lauren on the damn phone! :P)
Step three: Go to university in Seoul for three months for Intensive Korean classes. Four hours a day, five days a week! Now I only have twice a week and home study. I'm all right an all but I really wanna improve my speaking so I need more time to concentrate and focus on just that.
Step four: Return to Changwon, get new job, return to work and save money for future travel and exploits.
Prior to that step I plan on coming home for xmas but it'll prolly be a shorty so I might not make it to Ohio, even though I wanna. It depends on how much time we get off...so thats mostly TBA.
This week was summer vacation so I mostly hung out. I didn't travel anywhere cos of the money saving thing. I worked at night to make some extra cash. Monday I went to Busan with friends and Friday went to Daegu with a different set of friends. Tuesday I did shopping for food and so on. I organized my refridgerator! Ha ha! I bought lots of tupperware..and lets just say its a well preped fridge now baby! Everything all precut and preorganized so when I get home to cook I can do it quickly. I'm woring so much lately I have no energy for masses of prep work when I get home. Plus I gotta prepack dinner M-W-F cos its straight go go go from 9am-8:30pm. So dinner has to happen randomly during breaks in small sections.
I'm a big fan of organization...just not a good executer of it! Also did a bunch of summer cleaning, washing, and so on. SO the house is clean and neat. The way I like it, but often fail to keep it.
Also spent a lot of time with my dog! Which is great cos sometimes he's a bit ignored. Went to the airport to pick up the new teacher. Her name is Elizabeth. Her whole fmaily is from Parma!! (small world eh) But shes lived and did the uni thing in OK and TX most recently.
She's only 22. When she asked me when I came here I said, oh this is the start of my 4th year here. I came here back in 2005 when I was your age.
Then I paused and thought....weeeiiiird Don't like syain that!!! "When I was your age!?" Yikes! Gettin oooooolld. My birthday is in 2 weeks. I'll be 25. A nice round number indeed. I dont really know what I wanna do....I'm starting to be over birthdays ya know? I mean as long as my friends and acknowledge it, I'm good to go. I dont feel like I need a lot of bravado involved.
Its prolly all part of my more and more zen dispostion. lol I'm like a mellow old man. Just sitting on the porch sippin lemonade. I feel like when I was younger (again another weird thing to say) my energy was really fast beat and of mid range tone. Like a good techno ance song. Like a "boom chica chicka chicka boom chicka chicka chicka" And so on. Like in the key of C. lol
Now I feel like a bass line. A slow, steady, pulsating beat. Like a timponi and a high hat. Like a "boom ha! boom boom ha! boom ha! boom boom ha!" Thats the nature of the beast huh? Maturity? Age? I guess I feel that way because, well I've always felt way older than my physical age. So as my physical age increases, I feel like my mental age is doing double time. It's not a bad thing I figure. Yet again not much of anything bothers me anymore.
lol The zen and all.
OK, thats good for now. I'm doing this again soon. Swear.
PS Just to let you know I'm not on the prune juice yet...Last month I saw my favortie Japanese rock god MIYAVI!!!! In concert!! Squeeeee!!!! It was such a small venue, and I was soooo lcose. And he was everything I hoped he would be...sigh....it was super super awesome. :)
