I haven't been posting much lately, I know, but I'm still here! :D
My new second job is quite nice. Last week was a lot of setting up and getting access to database etc, and I started working for reals Monday. So, now I work behind the scenes for a theater and musical production company. :) However, the work itself is less cool. It involves a LOT of copy/pasting of list after list after list of contact information for companies, banks, insurance companies, camping sites, taxi companies, etc etc into spreadsheets that are organized by town/city that the sales guys will then use in their job. SO, it's important as fuck, but tedious. And I just get paid for batches of info that I get done. But it's work, and at least a bit of money in the future. \o/
But after two hours of furious clicking and copying and pasting, my right wrist is hurting a lot and my brain is mush. So I need to take regular breaks.
Another reason I haven't been around much or even got a lot of writing done, is that my parents' company computer broke. Hard drive died, so it's been repaired, hard drive replaced and OS reinstalled and all that. There was a bit of drama afterwards though, because the technician had not left the computer in a state where it would act like it was new, like I'd been told, so it would ask if I wanted to transfer a backup of files onto it or start fresh. Nope. He had made an admin account in my name (it's not my computer) and set a password. A password that no one gave me. We picked the computer up around Friday lunch, but then things happened and I didn't have time to try to start it up until later... and then the shop was closed. I emailed them about it though, and Monday I finally got the password they'd set, so that's all sorted. I just think that was hella dumb.
Now I'll try to write a bit.
