kink bingo and moving
The new kink list is up on

It's not more inspiring than last year, rather the opposite. At least for me, since I don't write Guro, people injecting saline into various parts of their bodies (yes, that is a specific kink this year), or appreciate the removal of the only square where good old blowjob kinking could go (oral fixation). Now, it's saline solution injections and facesitting, and people kinking on competitions instead.
Still no place for (apparently totally uninteresting) frottage that isn't rough and forceful. I guess they still think sensation play is the perfect fit for that. :( Which, no. But then again, they've replaced oral fixation with queening (or facesitting), and add that oh, cocksucking fits there too, despite queening being a very specifically non-cocksucking kink.
I hate that I have to feel like it's going to be a chore to even get some inspiration to write for any of these kinks, but that is what I'm left with. Some squares are so general that they're bland and devoid of any kinkiness or even sexiness at all! And some squares are so specific that it's impossible to write it unless you have a very specific interest in it already. On the one hand they say this or that kink was too specific and people complained they couldn't write around it or for it or adjust it to their mindset, and on the other hand, they add kinks that are super-specific with no leeway whatsoever! I don't get it.
This year, instead of just grumbling under my breath, I did comment on the kink list post, with opinions. Because this year, I feel like I don't care if I am unpopular among the mods, or if I'm told that I have to rephrase my opinions to not upset someone because now I am feeling pretty damn kinkshamed by their message that thinking penises are awesome and hot and the best fucking kink ever is a bad thing. Because they not only removed the only blowjob kink square, they also removed double penetration for being too penisy. They want to move away from penetration kinks, apparently.
I don't know... Are slash fics going to be deemed too penisy soon as well? Yes I am feeling grumpy. I happen to really fucking kink on cocks, okay! And if they want less and less of those icky penetrative penises in the fics written for the comm, then... not so inclusive of all kinks, is it?
I WANT to be inspired and think it's fun, but... I see all my personal kinks being booted as not fun, not interesting, not kinky enough, not this year, maybe later, oh you can maybe add that under x kink instead despite that not having a fucking thing to do with it... And I am left with a list that I'll have to work hard to find inspiration for or to find a square where things I find sexy and kinky fits. I guess I'm just not specific or extreme enough, despite years and years of personal bdsm and kink experience. But I have a feeling that if I tried to squeeze it into the vanilla-kink square, I'd be told off.

In other news, I'm picking up the key on Monday after lunch! AND, I am also getting a new floor in the kitchen because they deemed that the old one was impossible to get to look nice... \o/ This is so awesome! They're going to put it in on Monday too!
What's not so fun is that next weekend, when it would have been perfect to move my furniture and all the boxes because we could get ppl to help, Vehicular kink is moving into town! 120 000 people and 20 000 (50's and 60's American) cars. *weeps* I hate Power Big Meet with a burning passion! It will be impossible to go from one side of town to the other, for three fucking days.
So, I will maybe be able to get my stuff moved next Sunday, maybe, if enough ppl have left on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The risk is that they were too fucking drunk to drive and will roll out on Sunday so it will still be a mess. Power Big Meet is only three days, but in reality it fucks shit up for five.
