The nature of fic bunnies

I will never understand why some fic bunnies enable me to write 1500 words in a day (like this one), and others, that mean more to me personally, turn it into a battle to write even 150! *shakes head

A fic bunny is like an idea, or more like a story seed that you need to nurse and get growing. The difference between an ordinary idea for a fic and a fic bunny is that a bunny has teeth that it sinks into your leg and refuses to let go until you have written the story it wants. ;)

Um, I thing it's terminology I picked up in one of my old fandoms. lol
