I haven't really posted much about myself lately... but that's because I haven't really been feeling so awesome. Last bit of annoying stuff? I've started to get motion sickness when I scroll down a window fast! LOL It sounds crazy, but... it's really uncomfortable! I scroll, and then I get hit by nausea and dizziness and a distinct feeling of "Whoa! I... want to get off this roller-coaster! Ick!" And then the effect lasts for about 30 minutes. :(
Um. Yeah. I found what might cause it though. Hehe. Vitamin B1. Or lack thereof, rather. So, after I've started eating that, it's been better. But that's a little tip for any of you out there who might be suffering from motion sickness, either in a car or on sea (or apparently, by computer O.o), take B1 pills. It's not an instant "cure", but regular intake does make it much better.
This week has been crazy. One of my parents' dogs suddenly got very sick. They found her unconscious on the living room floor, she was burning up with heat, so they cooled her down, thinking it was the very warm weather and all the sun... But a few hours later, she's still too hot, even though she's awake and moving about a bit... So me and mum took her to the vet's. Well, one of the biggest animal hospitals in the country, which is really close to us. And we waited, and waited, and waited... And she was finally examined by a vet, got some blood drawn, urine sample, was put on an IV, while there was more waiting for the test results that were the quickest to finish...
And she was admitted. And the next day they could say that she had TWO diseases that she's picked up from ticks. :( Damn those icky little bugs! So, she has some sort of borrelia and also anaplasma, which is much more aggressive... :( Yesterday, she was so ill that the vet called and asked if it was okay to go ahead with a blood transfusion, otherwise she would die. :( So, that's been done, and the dog is in intensive care. *wibble* It looks like her fever is going down today, though!
So... I know there's a lot of ppl on my flists who have their own very serious conditions to deal with, so I feel really silly to post about this. I hope all of you will get better than that things will look up for you! <3
Friday and Saturday I've been on another round of edumacation too. So my head is full of information on a myriad of minerals and vitamins again. (Which is why I now know about the B1 thing. Motion sickness isn't the only thing it's good for though. LOL) It's been interesting, but also very tiring.
Two people in the group are so weird. I guess they see me as the weird one, but fuck. They were talking to each other, while browsing the bottles of pills on the table next to me, wondering if it was this vitamin or that that had X effect. I told them which one it was, because our teacher had told us about it just an hour previously, and they turned around and looked at me as if I had grown a second head and it had a drooling mouth, large horns, smeared mascara, and a clown hat. That kind of shit really pisses me off, but I tried to hide it, got the bunch of papers with the info on that particular vitamin, showed them the list of things it was good for, then flipped to the first page again and pointed to the name of the vitamin and repeated what I'd said. They just muttered and turned away. O.o WTF did I ever do to them? Gods, people like that really rub me the wrong way! Fuckers.
I'm so not going to even talk to them, or even look at them again. After the next time I won't have to, I guess, because it'll be the last on this edumacation thingie!
