Grope-screening at airports

Holy shit. I'm not personally affected by these things (yet) because I don't travel to, from, or within the US at the moment. But I can still have opinions about this craziness, right?

I just read this on the ACLU website: While you may opt your children out of an airport scan, there is no exemption for children from the pat-down searches. TSA says it must “screen everyone, regardless of age (even babies).”

So... in effect, you are forced to either subject your children's sensitive, growing, and developing bodies to the xray stuff, or subject them them to a full, invasive grope screening, including TOUCHING THEIR GENITALS!

How can this be considered safe and sane???!!!?!?!? How can they... I... Fuck. There are no words.
