This and that
Last night, I watched some Japanese morning TV and got caught up in a news story about a high-ranking sumo wrestler having done something scandalous and potentially illegal... Of course, my Japanese being so bad, I didn't understand much of it, but I caught the words "police" and "money" a few times. There was even an interview with some anon big guy that I assume is also a sumo wrestler or someone who has been one, voice distortion and everything and then a panel discussion (like they so often have on morning TV). Anyway, I got curious so I Googled with the guy's name that I also managed to catch and his rank. Turns out that that the ozeki Kotomitsuki has been gambling on baseball and maybe got blackmailed by some guy and now the police is involved and he's also been suspended for a while so he's going to miss the next basho which takes place in his home prefecture. Awwwww. See, gambling is bad!
Heh, all of this did make me motivated to continue to study, though. I want to be able to understand more and better!!! :D
Found a cute Japanese guy in Stockholm on a site. I winked at him and sent a short message. I doubt I'll get anything back though. He'd already visited my profile and not contacted me. But it's worth a try?
I now have an appointment at my dentist's to pull a molar. *sigh* I have nightmares about it. It's mostly filling, and the thin sliver of enamel there is visible has cracked, I think. It feels like that when I run my tongue over it, so I fear it will disintegrate and be super difficult to get out. :( :( :( Have I mentioned I am terrified of dentists?
Also looking at doctor's offices to choose one where mum and I can become regular patients, so we can get some help with some things.
Since my fridge is almost completely empty right now, maybe I should take the opportunity to wipe it clean?
