New year, more activity?

It's your friendly neighborhood mod here. Hope everyone had a good end of 2008 and looks forward to a good 2009.
As you probably know, I moderate this community pretty heavily in regards to membership because of some problems early on with trolls and rather nasty posts. If you know of someone who wants to join or might be interested, please invite them and let me know. I really would like the community to grow and be active.
As a thought to improve activity, I'm thinking I'll try and post a topic every week. Everyone one is welcome to comment or open their own topics.
I don't have any kind of new member introduction template, but I'd love to have everyone reintroduce themselves and maybe we can work something out from that.
Anyway, if anyone thoughts or comments, I'd love to hear it.
