You know it's a recurring theme with me, when there's a controversy, to demand the data first? You've seen me do that with global warming, with quality of education in Wisconsin, and with the economic "recovery." It's a policy that's worked very well for me for years.
Did you know there are people out there who are the exact antithesis of me? Data be damned, they've got their opinions, and opinions are more valuable than data any day!
Sometimes it makes for a kinda funny/sad juxtaposition. Like this:
Note that the quake happened at about midnight on that chart, so the "24 hours prior to the quake" being referenced would be Thursday. Compare those 24 hours to the 24 hours after the quake (Friday).
The opinion showcased here was rendered without a hint of irony, to my eyes. Anybody think he's kidding?
