I am a high school graduate.

Just typing those words makes me feel even more bewildered and melancholy.

I didn't have the typical reaction to graduating that you see after people do graduate. I think it's more depressing than it is exciting. Of course it's exciting, but when you graduate that is the very last time you get to see the class together.

Starting from the earliest occasion: graduation, which was yesterday. It was a cool experience. It felt really long because they said each person's name from my graduating class (which is approximately 650 people). I wore my Thespians tassle, Thespians medal, and National Honor Society rope... things. Yeah. There were a lot of people I didn't see on graduation, but I saw some people I haven't talked to in a long time. What sucked was that I could only get a maximum of five tickets for my family, so a lot of people that wanted to go, couldn't. So my mom, my step Dad, my Dad, and my grandparents went. I got some cool graduation gifts... $$... After, I went home, took a nap, woke up and helped prepare for my brother's party (which, his birthday is today). After a while at my house, I went to Anne's for the graduation party. It was alright. I stayed for a couple hours after playing this film game that drove me nuts. Then I went home, and when I got there, everyone left. My family went to Titusville until whenever and I decided to stay home alone, because I had plans for the weekend. But I'm going to Titusville on Sunday.

The Drama Banquet was on May 28th (I believe), and it was a memorable experience. It was SO hard to leave the room to which we were having the banquet. I had a good time. Mr. A.'s Season Video wouldn't work, so he did a one-man show of the entire season. It was pretty funny. The senior roast was o.k. They roasted me as a gay guy who's in love with his iPod. Pretty funny. I won Best Supporting Actor for "Antic Spring." I was happy. Mr. A. said I was "phenomenal" before he called my name. Made me happy. I also got top 3 senior thespians and top 7 thespians overall.

For the drama final (the day before) I did my duet scene with Evan from "Brighton Beach Memoirs." Great response from the audience. It was a great scene.

Now the bad news - the day after school ended, Mr. A. sent an e-mail to all Palmetto alumni and underclassmen... It stated that he is retiring from Palmetto and switching to a private school. I was dumbfounded and even more depressed. Everything will be different and it will not be the same place when I go to visit. Some of the underclassmen are distraught. It's terrible. Mr. A. said that he's losing respect from his students and he's also losing support from the school.

I'm at Rob's now, just chilling... waiting for school to start (June 29th - I'm doing summer session for FIU... Then in the spring, I'm more than likely switching to FSU).

Gotta go. Peace.
