Heart, Paper, Elephant

Ever have one of those days when your crafting mojo just goes on the fritz? I was trying to work on a few items yesterday and kept screwing them up one way or another, so I finally put them all aside and made this little sweetheart to cheer myself up.

I showed this to my husband and we cannot wrap our heads around it. You just sat down and were able to create this. That you did it out of one piece of paper boggles me even more. We love elephants so I really want to steal this from you.

Thanks very much! I've never made anything with an elephant before but suddenly I "knew" how she'd look and I just had to do it.

While sketching her I googled some real elephant photos to get her elephant-y expression right, which was fun.

Thanks! I didn't set out to make her a "she" but before I'd even finished folding I was already subconsciously calling her that, so "she" it was :-)
