We have decided to move to Kansas City. Most of my work is up there anyway, and David has had some really great job offers there. We have been looking at houses online, got the mortgage all lined up. Several of the houses we have been looking at have full unfinished basements, which would be great. I could move the soap workshop from the kitchen and spare room to an entire basement! woo hoo!!!
Now that we have decided we are definitely going to move, I want to do it NOW. I know there is lots to do before the move, but once I set my mind to something I don't have much patience in waiting for it to happen. I have already started getting rid of stuff and packing stuff I want to keep but don't use every day. I think it sends a message to the universe that we are *really* doing this, plus it makes things easier when it is actually time to go.
So I had a bunch of bags of stuff to donate to the thrift store, and asked David to bring them over for me. He did, but accidently brought one of Autumn's favorite dolls. Her Stuart Little doll. We called the thrift store to ask for it back (how embarassing, the things we do for our kids) and they said they would look for it. That was last week. I don 't think she will be getting it back. So I am in the market for a new Stuart Little doll. Been checking ebay, no luck yet. Can't find one exactly like the one we so generously donated. I think she will live, but I still hate the fact that we broke her little heart, even if it was an accident.
