We're learning spoken Japanese and the first alphabet (they have 3). In either Decemeber or July we'll be going with a team (for three weeks) to open a new Vineyard that will be a cafe/church in Tokyo. As far as working out a longer term mission there, we still haven't worked that out yet. The Vineyard is semi-notorious for having unclear channels as far as that's concerned. I found out that you can get 1-3 year religious work visas fairly easily, so there's that.
Nick and I both got a stomach bug, so we'll be missing working with the kids tomorrow. We've moved up with them again (they're in 8th now).
How are you guys doing? Have you guys gotten connected into an awesome church yet?

We are going to a Vineyard in downtown Minneapolis, called Mercy Vineyard. Its a whole different experience out here, but its good. We decided some time ago to go through all the channels and see what we could learn. A lot, as it turns out. We are good. Sophia is almost 15 months old! I still can't beleive. She walks, she talks, she chews on things with her teeth. And, she has taken to mimicking her mother and I. We love it, and her ALOT! Tell the kids in Jr. High we said hi, oh and Jeremy too. We miss all you guys! I hear that Matt and Shana (i think that is their names) are moving on? Any word on what the future looks like, or are you guys out of the loop and into the Japan loop?

I have no idea what is going on for the 6th graders/middle school. At this point we have some strong leaders moving up from 5th grade (all girls), but we barely had a separate 6th grade this year. It seems that everyone that does the main coordination/teaching the 6th grade gets pregnant... we should advertise that way! A bunch of leaders are moving up/gone/going, so the only male leader that we currently have for this year is Nick. Debbie has been recruiting my brother though, which I think will probably happen
