What I am hearing from each side:
The Democrats want to redistribute wealth by raising the taxes of those who make more money. Higher taxes= more money for social services= less people in poverty.
The Republicans want to redistribute wealth by lowering the taxes of those who make more money. Lower taxes= healthier corporations= more jobs= less people in poverty.
I must be missing something, 'cause I don't get either of those.
