Random Babble

Hooray for Friday.  This has been a fantastic week.  I managed to write 47,000 words in the month of September, way more than I expected to write.  And, it came out even... that is exactly the number, no rounding necessary :D

I've got the 5th graders playing on recorder (someone buy me earplugs! lol) and Eva ordered the ones for 4th grade today.  I've filled out the forms to go to VMEA and get compensated (which is AWESOME!) and I'm getting ready to put in for Nov. 13th afternoon off so I can go to my doctor's appt.

The kids adore me and most wave every time they see me.  I get hugs (by far one of the best parts of teaching elementary school) and the kindergardeners are doing really well.  There are a few that still like to push the boundaries, but that's expected.  I put my first kindergardener in Time Out today... and it didn't bug him.  First graders have cried in the chair, but not this kid.  *le sigh*

Now I need to plan out my sub plans for those days.  I need to e-mail the other music teachers and see if there are any interesting things I can give sub for Kindergarten.  All I've got are Disney movies.

Chorus is Monday... and I might have an idea on what to do this week.  I orders 6 songs, 3 for Christmas and 3 for Spring... Polar Express included.  And it's almost all Unison, with a few split parts.  I am so excited :D  Then I bought an Ode to Beethoven which takes 4 Beethoven pieces and puts words to them.  Very cool.  The kids aren't going to think so... but I don't care lol.

Would you believe how many post-it notes are stuck to my desk/computer? 15... 14 now that I threw away the Fire Drill one.  crazy.

Enough random babbling.  Time to go HOME!!!

hugs, vmea, randomness
