T.G.I.F.
Dress rehearsal went fairly well last night. Aside from the fact I didn't get to play the Viola solos like I've been practicing. The other two didn't even tell me I wasn't playing. All I was asked was "Was I?" and I said I wasn't sure, but I'd be glad to. Well solo time comes and my hands are shaking cause I'm nervous... and English dude next to me starts playing Grrr... If I was ballsy... I would have kept playing and made him stop oh well. Almost half of #3 is a Viola solo :-(
I did play all the Holst 98% correct... not bad for this being the 1st time I've looked at it with a group. I practiced my butt off here trying to get it right... I don't want a repeat of Beethoven's 8th last year where I couldn't play half of it.
Crazy For You went well too.. :-D It's a medley of Gershwin music, which means it's really jazz and there's a kickin' Trap Set part and Ken does a great job :-)
Sea Songs is just fun. I love marches and Strings don't get to play them that often.
I'm in a much better mood today and I don't know why. I just got a calming feeling last night and I feel fine.
Alrighty... time to go get dressed and get ready for the final day of the week :-) 3 classes, 1 lunch duty... and it's over for the week :-) October may have started already, but I'm going to say it's not official until the 1st week. So, October will be a much better month than September.
And my fridge is making weird noises. I'm going to scream if I come back from Lynchburg Sunday and it's broken and not working... GRRRRRRR
