lord of the flies
sometime fairly recently, at a guess, when i had my boiler replaced and had the door from outside into my basement open for about six hours, a bunch of flies took up residence in my house. i've been killing them off, gradually, but there appear to be a lot of them. i've discovered a new method, though. last night i left a glass with a little soda in it in my sink. this morning, dead fly floating in it. apparently high fructose corn syrup isn't just bad for people.....
