random thoughts about roger ebert

what i love about roger ebert's reviews is that they convey his deep love for movies. they make you want to see movies that you might otherwise never contemplate seeing just to see if you can see what he sees. (i just finished reading his reexamination of "barry lyndon.")

I enjoy that about his reviews also, but I have to say that Barry Lyndon ranks as one of my least favourite movies that I've ever forced myself to sit through.
