as a lot of you know, i am a huge baseball fan, and that was my gateway into sports talk radio, and specifically. our very fine local sports talk radio station, 670 AM, the score.
one thing that i like is that when something non-sports related but important is going on, there are several of the hosts who will take time off from sports to discuss it. this morning, jason goff, a black radio host, talked about the shootings of alton sterling and philando castile and what it's like to feel like your stories, your tragedies don't matter:
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/07/07/watch-jason-goffs-poignantly-addresses-tragic-shootings-in-baton-rouge-falcon-heights/ it's about 21 minutes long. there's a link to a place where you can find just the audio but there's a video on that page. he doesn't know what to do about the situation and i don't either, but these tragedies matter.
