"hamlet" kickstarter
i seem to have not written much about this, except obliquely, at the time it was going on.
back in april of 2011, my friend, cassielsander asked me if i would help out with a version of "hamlet" that he wanted to make. i wound up doing some script checking and helping out with auditions, but the project stalled out due to lack of actors who were a) really good, but also b) willing to work on a production of "hamlet" without being paid anything.
cass has decided to put together a kickstarter for this project: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1733081665/hamlet-the-series . so, if nothing else, go take a look at the sample scene to see what he envisioned doing with the project because you might find it cool or interesting (or think it's a dreadful idea, for that matter--interesting conversations might ensue). among other things that he planned was to flip the gender of several of the characters, including hamlet.
if you like it and you're so inclined, then by all means pledge something ;-) .
