Title: I Love Irony, by Touya Kinomoto
Series: Cardcaptor Sakura
Length: 200 words
Genre: Humor
Character: Touya
Summary: For once, irony was on his side.

“Hell no.”

Touya’s smirk said it all. For once, irony was on his side, and he loved it.

“Hell no,” Syaoran said again, fists and teeth clenched. “You will never be part of this family.”

That sounded familiar.

Taking his cue, Touya parroted the words Syaoran said to him two years ago. “I really don’t think that’s up to you.”

Syaoran’s furious glare stayed on Touya, but he directed his statement to Meiling. “I’m telling Mother.”

“No need; we already have.” There was almost as much joy is her voice as there was in Touya’s, but no one was happier than Touya was right now.

For so many reasons.

So he couldn’t resist goading, “See you at the formal announcement, cuz.”

As Syaoran stomped off, leaving a black cloud of annoyance and defeat in his wake, Meiling said, “You know, as much as I love watching you guys swing those things around…. You’re not marrying me just to piss him off, are you?”

Irony was delicious, sweet and juicy, but Touya tried to rein in his amusement. “No,” he answered seriously, then the smirk returned. “It’s just a fringe benefit.”

She accepted this, grinning back. “It is fun, isn’t it?”
