When: Mother's Day.
Who: Gayella. And Ellie if she decides to show up. (I never seem to catch you Emzily, but if she's coming, just reply to where we left off or something!)
Where: NYC.

Gabe was always a huge Momma’s Boy. It was weird because no one would think that he was. It was also weird that Gabe forgot this weekend was Mother’s Day. It didn’t matter though. Holidays at the Vega house was the usual. There was usually a ball, then dinner with the family. Gabe and Stella had gone to the Hamptons for the weekend, only for Stella to remind Gabe that Sunday was Mother’s Day. They had decided to go to Gabe’s parent’s house because Stella already spent time with her mom on Friday, and she insisted on making sure Gabe was there for ‘such an important day’. After an afternoon of fun, they packed up and Gabe drove them all the way back to New York. He made sure to take her around the city for a few hours so that he could skip whatever event was going on that day. They saw Date Night in theaters, even though Stella was whining about wanting to watch Oceans because Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sang a song in it or something. He wasn’t going to waste money seeing a movie about the ocean. They did the whole eating from a hot dog stand thing that Stella wanted to do. They went to get a gift for their mothers. Gabe got a necklace with a tiny vintage mirror on it, because his mom always liked mirrors. Then it was time for the dinner that Gabe dreaded, even if it meant spending time with his mother. They had to go home and talk to Gabe’s father about God knows what. It was a nightmare just waiting to happen, and this time Gabe was going home willingly. The things that he did for Stella, really.

Gabe nodded to the doorman as he headed for the elevator. The Vegas lived on the top floor, in the huge five bedroom penthouse. While Gabe held Stella’s hand he was distracted, his eyes sort of flighty and anxious. He really didn’t want to sit in the same room with his father right now. Not when he hadn’t see Stella for five days and this was the only weekend they had together before another five days of not being together. When they finally arrived, Gabe’s mother, Hilary, came out to greet them. “Gabert! And you brought your girlfriend! Hello, darling!” “Hey mom. Happy Mother’s Day.” He kissed her on the cheek then gave his coat to the maid. Hilary fawned over how gorgeous Stella looked, saying that Gabe couldn’t have picked a better girl or something around those lines. Gabe wasn’t really sure because he already spaced it all out when he noticed his dad watching them from the corridor. Michael Vega came over and shook hands with Stella (It seemed like a weird gesture to Gabe, but then again it was his dad) then asked her why she wasn’t celebrating with her family. He seemed to completely forget Gabe’s existence, which to be honest was already a gift from above. Gabe shuffled awkwardly, waiting for the polite chit chat going on between Stella and his parents to end so he could get out of the corridor and sit down to have a good gin and tonic. Gabe’s mom seemed to notice this, because she said that it must’ve been a long drive and they needed their rest, so they were moved to the lounge where Michael started mixing drinks. “Gin and tonic.” Gabe said automatically, ignoring the looks Stella and his mother gave him. Michael rolled his eyes ever so slightly before pouring the drink for him. “Stella doesn’t drink.” He said for the sake of saying something when Michael asked her what she would like to have. Gabe better get a lot more glasses of gin and tonic if he was going to survive tonight. He got up and poured himself another glass, despite the scowl on Michael's face because that was 'his territory'. He needed the alcohol pumping in his veins.
