Personality:
Lacus is incredibly sweet and nice to everyone she meets without prejudice. While on an enemy ship, she tries to befriend the crew forgetting the boundaries of Natural and Coordinator. Even after the display of hostility a Natural gave to her, she didn't return it. The reason for her kindness is not simply because of her wish for pacifism (A wish she shares wither her father). "But your kindess doesn't come from being a Coordinator... it's because of who you are Mr. Yamato." She believes that kind people exist whether you are Natural or Coordinator. After all, both are human. It didn't matter how you were conceived. Friend and foe is the same to her --- even in the battlefield. Despite how easier it would be to simply kill the enemy, she is determined to fight while keeping everyone alive.
Her manners and demeanor is perfectly regal and lady-like. This is probably the reason why she was given the nickname, Pink Princess. This shouldn't come to much of a surprise because of the environment she grew up with. Her father is the Chairman of the PLANTs and member of the Supreme Council. She was very likely taught from childhood the proper way to act and converse.
Despite all the lessons of proper decorum, Lacus is known to show affection. Maybe she learned that if you were about to die any second, there was no room for being shy. She would give her friends hugs --- but she shows special attention to Kira. This is because she does love him. She was a little shy --- but she does kiss him on the cheek when she asked him to return to her. She is also very comfortable being embraced by him and giving him a hug while being surrounded by other people.
She was an idol singer and her personality is as calm and serene as the songs she sings. Like most idol singers, she sings about love but she also sings about hope and peace. For her, music can also be an instrument to touch others' hearts and bring up the hopes of the people. After the war during the first season of the Gundam SEED series, Lacus disappeared from the idol world though her strong influence still remained. She wanted to sing songs that mattered. "From now on, Lacus Clyne will be singing the song of peace"
At the beginning of the series, she was incredibly naive and idealistic. Maybe she still is but she matured as the plot progressed. Initially, it was difficult to determine whether she even took the war seriously or understand it. Her father had probably protected her from the war and kept her away from the ugliness of it. It was only later that she becomes more involved with what was happening in the war and takes a more active role in trying to stop it. Her experience in the Archangel may be the cause. Meeting Kira Yamato and watching the pain Fllay experienced by her father's death. It made her better understand how dire it was.
Knowing the danger, she joined her father in forming the Clyne Faction. Because she is sentimental , she visited the place where she had her first concert. She knew that it wasn't certain if she was getting out of the war alive. "In war, what are we truely fighting for? Sometimes it is hard to tell." Lacus is never really certain she is absolutely right. All she could do was fight for something she believed in and not waver. What she wanted was to protect and not kill. "Blame begets hate and hate begets more hate. When will it end?" To end the war, hate was not the answer. Even when her father and his people were killed, she did not hate the killers. Instead, she chose to finish what they had started and end the war without spilling more blood.
Despite her wish for a simple life with Kira, she knew that it was not a life she could return to anymore. Not when there was still a role she had to play in ensuring peace. That is why she decided to take an active role in politics and became the Mediator for Earth and the PLANTs. She proved to be a good leader while leading the Clyne Faction. She is firm, commanding and decisive when she has to be, qualities that make her a good leader. Durrandal called her, 'The White Queen.' He compared her to the game piece from a chess game. It was one of the strongest pieces in the game and shouldn't be taken lightly. It was probably why he believed it was important that she that she was the first to be taken down.
While posing as a leader, it is only when she is away from watchful eyes and in the company of people she trusts is the only time you will see Lacus bring out her child-like personality. She converses with her Haro and plays with the children. It is the only time she shows weakness too. She never cries in public, she saves her tears for when she is alone like when her father died and when Meer, a girl that shared her face and voice that means well --- but died to save Lacus's life.

Coordinator - There are two more known genetic types in her world. Coordinator and Naturals. Coordinators are the genetically enhanced humans. Their looks, abilities and talents have been altered to be almost perfect. They are faster, stronger and smarter than Naturals. They are also immune to most diseases. Naturals are the other type. The unaltered humans. For years, these two have been at war with each other. People like the Blue Cosmos call the Coordinators "monsters." Many naturals feel threatened and envious of the Coordinators and they are persecuted and killed.
Her voice is possibly a product of gene manipulation, not natural talent.
Seed Mode - (Superior Evolutionary Element Destined-factor) In both the end of the first and second series, Lacus's eyes dilated and a brief scene of what may look like a seed exploding appeared. This is the SEED mode, usually activated when the person's feelings are strong and at times may seem out of control. Most of the time, this happens in the middle of battle, after a severe trauma to the person's mind and heart or when the person has the great desire to protect. There is an increase of awareness and their natural fighting capabilities are enhanced. In the first Series, Lacus, Kira, Athrun and Cagalli had them. Cagalli is a Natural, so it is possible for Naturals to have it. Some theorized that the SEED mode is an evolutionary development.

* She is kind, understanding and considerate, even to those who had wronged her.
* Determined. She stubbornly stands by her belief in a world without war and fighting.
* Curious and adventurous. She doesn't like staying in her quarters for long and likes to go out and joins the crew.
* Bravery. She is often afraid but despite that she still pursues to do what she thinks is right.
* Good leadership skills. She led the Clyne faction and acted as the commander of the Eternal.
Weaknesses-

Coordinator- However, they are still not perfect. Third-generation coordinators sometimes cannot have children. They become sterile. It is because unlike Naturals, it is very difficult to give them the genetic input for childbirth. The scientists of PLANTS are trying to find a solution but so far there is no cure for it. It is unclear if Lacus is a third generation Coordinator or not. But, she was engaged to a fellow Coordinator so it may be safe to conclude that there is a chance that they are Second generation.
Personality Weaknesses:
* Her bravery can easily be translated as foolish. Such as going into war without killing anyone.
* Naive.
* She can be very pouty if she wants to and easily frustrated, as shown when she went shopping with Kira, Meyrin and Athrun. Most likely, she is only like this with people close to her.
* She can easily break down when someone dies. When Meer (Her impersonator) died, she just broke down and cried for her. Though she does keep it to herself.

There was a half-full container of sundae in front of them. It was no mystery now what Mister Pink had been eating.
It looks like someone had been spoiled. ]
Good day, everyone. My name is ... Lacus Clyne.
I don't quite yet understand why yet, but I seem to have been returned to Johto.
It really is quite peculiar...
[ Mister Pink interrupts her and shoves a spoonful of his ice cream into her mouth. He wanted to share with Lacus his ice cream. It took Lacus a few moments to continue what she was about to say.
Smiling while covering her mouth with a napkin to wipe the ice cream from her lips. ]
I apologize for that. What I really wanted to ask was --- how is everyone? I hope everyone has been well.
Third Person Sample:
Mister Pink was trying his best to cheer Lacus up. It wasn't that she was crying --- in fact, Miss Lacus was smiling. It was simply that Miss Lacus's eyes looked really sad. Mister Pink was happy --- very happy to have Lacus back, but he didn't like seeing her with sad eyes.
Her eyes had been looking that way since she opened her eyes. She had a faraway look as she had looked out the window of the room. When she looked at him, the faraway look was still there even when she was smiling and it really made Mister Pink feel bothered.
Lacus must have sensed how upset Mister Pink was. Then again, it wasn't difficult to guess because Mister Pink was pouting like a spoiled child. It made her feel very guilty because in truth, even though she missed Mister Pink terribly, a large part of her was missing home as well. There was someone's side that she didn't want to leave. Giving Mister Pink a small smile and a gentle hug, she whispers, "I'm sorry, Mister Pink. Of course, I missed you. I missed you so terribly. It pained me when I believed that I would never see you again. I am just a little ... sad because I have left someone behind again."
"I hope he ... and everyone will be alright."
When Lacus made another faraway look, Mister Pink tugged on her hair trying to bring her back to the present. He didn't understand. Who was this person that Lacus left behind that she couldn't forget? Lacus gave another apologetic smile, "I'm sorry ... I'm very sorry ..." Mister Pink almost panic when he saw tears in her eyes. "I didn't know ... I would miss him so much."
Waving his arms above him, shouting to her that she shouldn't cry because he was there. Since Mister Pink looked ridiculously cute waving his arms like that, Lacus chuckled and began wiping the tears from her eyes. "This is not good --- I have to remain strong. I'm alright now, Mister Pink," she promised him giving the Pokemon a cheek on its cheek. "Thank you. Thank you so much for worrying about me."
In response, Mister Pink blushed and looked very pleased. Now that she was smiling, he pointed at a restaurant outside her window. He wanted ice cream and he wanted it now. Lacus smiled and nodded, understanding what he wanted. Normally, she would rather be careful about spoiling him but for now she decided to let him have his way. According to the calendar, she had been gone for a month. That meant he had been alone for a month and that made her terribly sad for him.
She wasn't going to cry anymore. If she did, she was only going to worry her friends. So she promised herself --- that when she greeted everyone later, she was going to do it with a smile ...
It would be alright ... tears are not the answer after all.
Suddenly, she blushed feeling very embarrassed and silly that she was feeling this way. It was not like there was no hope for her to someday return, was it? Mister Pink jumped down from her arms and began tugging on her skirt again. He clearly wanted to get going. Laughing and shaking her head, she followed him wondering what other adventures there would be in Johto. She also wanted to see how her friends were. Her return to her world had been sudden and unexpected. No goodbyes. She hoped they were alright.

Personality:
Lacus is sweet, kind and respectful to everyone without prejudice. She is bubbly and playful when she wants to, but is rather naive and idealistic, choosing to trust that everyone around her is good and honest. Being inside an enemy ship, doesn't seem to sway her either. Her curiosity and adventurous side are her greatest weaknesses. She often ventures out of her room on her own even when she should be a hostage. She loves to help in any way she can. She is as calm serene and gentle as the very songs she sings. Her sincerity to bring people's hopes up, makes her a wonderful vocalist. She has a peaceful and innocent aura about her that draws people to her.
She loves making friends and pretty much, her life is like an open book. She is very compassionate and feels for both her friends and enemies. She rarely considers anyone an enemy because she rarely disliked people. Even people that should be her enemies, she was respectful to. For her, she didn't understand the necessity for Coordinators and Naturals to be divided. When someone dislikes her, she doesn't seem at all offended and instead chooses to understand the person. "Blame begets hate and hate begets more hate. When will it end?" She hates war and wishes only to get along with both Coordinator and Naturals. "What makes you as a person is not the fact that you're a Coordinator, is it? It is you. Coordinator or Natural... we are still human." She inherited her father’s beliefs in pacifism.
This pink princess continued to grow and mature as the series progressed. As gentle as she was in the beginning of the series, she was still very much a child. Her first realization of how serious death and war is was probably when she saw Fllay Allster's father die right in front of her. Her father and his people protected her from every danger, and probably kept her from learning about the ugliness of war. Before that, she probably just thought she understood and that was why she wanted to give the people who died in the Junius Seven. Unfortunately, one who has never seen tragedy can't possibly understand how painful it really is.
She is very loyal to her friends and chooses to stick by their side, no matter what the circumstances. Often times, she would usually advise them to choose the more peaceful route to end an argument. She believes that anything can be settled diplomatically and not in arms or weapons. Which it is why it was probably fitting that she became a PLANT Supreme Council Member by the end of the second series?
She is very commanding and decisive when the situation called for it. Durandal had even called her the “White Queen” and compared her to the white queen in the game of chess. Her influence was like the queen piece’s influence in the game.
There is probably something about her that drew people to her. Even after she stopped her career as an idol singer in the first series, her influence was still strong by the second. Her words still touched a Lot of people and that was something that Gilbert Durandal wanted to take advantage of. Even Meer, her fan that transformed herself to Lacus Clyne said that, "Everyone will always need Miss Lacus, but nobody needs Meer." For her, Lacus Clyne helped everyone to be strong.
You may call her strange, but Lacus also enjoys talking to her pink Haro, even though it wasn’t a very good conversationalist. She sometimes acts that her little Haro had a mind of its own. She will most likely be the same with her Pokemon, because she is more likely to treat them as friends and not pets.

Greetings, everyone.
Oh my... this is a little embarrassing, but I seem to be a little lost.
My name is Lacus Clyne... and if it isn't too much trouble, may I ask for the direction to Cherrygrove city? If someone can, I will ever be so grateful...
[ She gives an embarrassed little giggle. Despite being lost, she didn't look very concerned at all. Her next sentence was interrupted by the sounds of an excited igglybuff, trying to get her attention. ]
Mister Pink, is there something the matter?
[ Forgetting to turn her PokéConnect off, she puts it back into her bag but you could still hear her. A moment later, she sighs with pleasure. Whatever she saw definitely made her happy. ]
You're right, Mister Pink. This view is very beautiful.
Third Person Sample:
Lacus was on her way to New Bark Town, but for the moment--- she wished to rest and enjoy the view. She was sitting against a tree with her new companion, Mister Pink, her igglybuff on her lap. She didn't know how much further they needed to walk but she hoped it wasn't too far now.
It really surprised her to see such peace around her. The trees and grass were lush and green. The sky looked so beautifully blue. There was no urgent news about war or destruction. The peace seemed almost surreal. It was a nice change from the war--- but at the same time she couldn't really quite feel happy about the peaceful days she'd been living lately. Though she had met many interesting people since she arrived in this world, she was much to worried about Kira and everyone from home. Her heart was telling her that she should return and quickly, because she still had a responsibility and so many heavy burdens to carry.
Too many people had been hurt after the war and she had to do something to prevent another war from breaking again.
After accepting the responsibility to be the mediator for earth, she was more and more coming to understand her deceased father. She had been thinking a lot more of him lately. He had died believing in the kind of peace before her. What would he have thought if he ever saw this world?
She gave a soft sigh. A sigh that her igglybuff probably noticed. Suddenly, her igglybuff began to struggle in her arms and catching her attention. Mister Pink jumped out from her arms and began walking away. It confused Lacus, but she quietly followed Mister Pink to where he was going. He stopped and waved his tiny arms to her pointing to a direction.
"Mister Pink, did you want to show me something?" When she looked up, she giggled. Lacus didn't have to worry after all. It seemed New Bark Town wasn't too far away. What she saw was a scenic view of New Bark Town.
She could feel the wind blowing a refreshing breeze, which calmed her a little. Reminding her that it was not like her to simply worry like this. If she truly wanted to return home, she was going to find a way. There wasn't any loss of hope yet. Someday, she will find a way back home.
Tearing her gaze from the view, she again turned her attention to Mister Pink and smiled warmly. They had not been together very long yet, but already she felt a sense of affection for it. "You were trying to cheer me up, weren't you, Mister Pink?" she whispered. "I am sorry. I must have worried you because I looked sad." She bends down and scoops him from the ground for a hug. "You really are very sweet."
She started walking again towards the town, not really knowing what to do from there. All she knew was that whatever happened after this moment, she was going to give nothing but her very best.
