Up until the day before yesterday, everything has been typical. Well, this includes slipping on the stairs from time to time. The previous owners had carpetted the stairs with the typical carpeting in houses, but they put no edging on the stairs to reduce slipping. Although, this was the worst slip to date. I scraped skin off the side of my foot and toe, and I am keeping my weight off of the foot for the time being. Nothing bad at least.
On the creative side, I have recently watched Nation Treasure 2 and Indiana Jones. Yesterday, I thought of something interesting to do with the exploration theme and ancient mysteries. The main characters are aliens on a ship sent to Earth to accomplish a mission. Unfortunately, their orders are "Go to Earth and accomplish an objective." The comments for the order scheduled a little bit after the Pyramids were built, Atlantis was lost, and more state that they will discover the objective of the scheduled mission just a year before December 22, 2012. The year was given so the crew can find the objective before it was too late. So it is a bunch of aliens searching for clues in the modern day trying to find out why they were sent to Earth.
Not just finding their objective, the aliens have to also deal with a language barrier between earthlings and them. I find the idea of a universal translator that can handle a language without being programmed for it to be impossible. The problem, as best as I can explain it, is similar to putting shoes on a cat's feet. Cats want to feel the ground with their own paws and will try to shake off the foot protection.
One of the ideas for it includes some of the aliens flying down to were their maps show Atlantis, a space port. The landing party is out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with a map on a raft talking about that Atlantis is suppose to here. One of the aliens makes the comment, "There is a ship with the planet's inhabitants. Lets ask them for directions."
