Well, John L. Smith's MSU coaching career is over. Administration announced today that he is relieved of his coaching duties at the end of the year (and any post-season games). Us Journalism kids with L.A. got a first-hand look at the press conference; L.A. took us over to Spartan Stadium where the press conference was being held and we got to see journalism in action, haha. It was actually pretty cool.
Also, The State News is hiring for next semester, and my application is going in tomorrow if I can get to their office before 5pm, but no later than Friday. I just think I need all the experience I can get. Besides, you can't get any better campus-related reporting than The State News.
One more interesting update: Ross invited me to his band's performance next Saturday. I guess I can try to see if I can make it, if there isn't a basketball came conflicting with it, hehe. I think it's interesting that he just invited me to get some people at his show.
I don't know why, but I'm thinking a lot about St. Patrick's Day right now. I guess because I've had such bad experiences with it in the past and this year I kinda want Ashley and Kim to come up here so we can party properly for a change, haha. Plus...I probably won't be partying that much the rest of the year, so why not look forward to one time that I can?
I need to get green stuff (clover headband, face paint/stickers, shirt, etc.), and we need to go all out. Oh, and we need a specific party to go to and we cannot deviate from the plan. We also need to know good escape routes, so we can get outta dodge quickly if we need to.
Triangle Fraternity will probably be doing something, and that would be sooo perfect. Kim and Ashley come up, David or Lesley or Amanda, etc. gets us alcohol (Bernett's Lime and Green Apple Pucker...or some kinda green liquor, haha), and we go to Triangle for a St. Patty's night debauchery! Hehe...and I can tell Kim and Ashley to come up as early as possible (like 2pm or 3pm), and whenever they get here is whenever we start drinkin' (St. Patty's drinking is supposed to start early of course). We've got a shitload of time before St. Patrick's Day though, so the plans for that will have to wait; we still have to get through the holidays :)
Hmmm...I think I'm done for today. I don't have anymore to update, and it's getting kinda late. I wonder if my suitemates are going home for the weekend; Ashly cleaned the bathroom early. Anyway, yeah, more updates as they come. NIGHT ALL! ♥
