SPORTS ROCK!!!
TIGERS WON!! The Detroit Tigers are on their way to the World Series. I think I should be more excited than I seem...baseball has never tickled my fancy that much, but man. That win tonight will definitely make me watch more Tigers. It's so good that we can focus on them too, instead of the losing Spartan football team; final score for MSU vs. Ohio State was 38-7 I think. Yes, there were lots of drunken tailgaters around...mainly Spartan fans.
In other news, "Fright Night": Midnight Mania was simply awesome. Love Kim and Ashley for coming up for that too. Kim's ex-boyfriend and her father put her in a bad mood this morning, but last night was pretty cool. The basketball girls look all right (Lindsay Bowen showed up for some odd reason), and the guys look good. They showed us some drills they run to warm up, then they scrimmaged for about 20 minutes. Oh, and when they introduced the teams they were all in costume; the girls did a "Thriller" performance, and Coach P. (Joann P. McCallie) came out as a witch. The boys came out in three costume categories: the Centers were all Frankenstein, the Forwards were the Wolf man, and the Guards were the "Scream" guy/ghost-faced killers. And Tom Izzo himself came out as a vampire (with his wife and kids).
We also visited Sara at Hubbard until she went to work, then we came home and played a few video games. I got my first taste of that new ID system they have (anyone entering the residence halls from 12-7am must submit valid ID in exchange for a guest slip, and the ID can be picked up when leaving). Yeah -- it sucked. Just as I'd suspected before, the old system was much better.
I got some sweet pictures to add to Facebook; I'm good for that kinda thing. Ashley, Kim and I decided that we might try to do the Canada thing for January 5th instead of New Year's Eve. It won't be as exciting on New Year's Eve, but hey; this is me and Kim's last illegal year :) Oh, and trick-or-treaters are coming through in two weeks! I'm so excited -- I have to come up with a super cool witch costume.
