I'm so confusing myself with my emotions and feelings on people. I'm usually not attracted to people I know will never like me, because they're not that way or they just don't, and I'm wildly in love with two people. One knows, the other has no idea. I need some outlet for my sexual frustration, then I may feel a bit better. haha... Its late, I ( Read more... )

hey lauren! it's mal. curtis is hell hard go get into. they only accept like 3 or 4 people around the world a year for that instrument, sometimes none. so there's a slim chance that i'd get in. lol. if i were you, i'd also look at indiana and eastman. or maybe berklee in california (they have jazz stuff too) or manhattan. or new school. you'd have a better chance of getting in there than royal acad or curtis. i know how all of this works. you should ask me more about it. but i think those are the ones you should look at way before royal or curtis.

Actually it would make far more sense for her to try if she has the opportunity to, as then there is at least a chance, if she doesn't, there is none.

ok, jp. actually, if you knew anything about the music world and how insanely competitive it is, you'd understand that you make no sense. you shouldn't waste your time with the long audition process of a certain school if you know you can't even begin to compete with good players. it's just not possible. if you're not already there now, then forget about it. that's how it is. i'm not being mean. it's competitive. but lauren, you should look more into those schools. i agree with you, curits would be great. but if you want to look into stuff in london, maybe trinity would be something interesting.

hey guys... lbmusic317 September 30 2003, 16:40:41 UTC
J-P, don't be mean, I am setting unrealistic goals, I think my choices are going to be DREAM SCHOOLS: ROYAL ACADEMY, CURTIS .... REALISTIC: BERKLEE, MANHATTAN, EASTMAN, PEABODY .... BACK-UPS: music at Converse, Furman music, a few others probably. I'm almost positive I want to do music, my only borderline thing is double-major in music performance and technology (Computer stuff) at Peabody. Well, I must be off, I need to practice as I have ANOTHER LESSON tomorrow... This would be my third in 4 days... I'm gonna die!
