I've done plenty to pick myself back up. I have HHHS begging me to be in IB classes.

There are people that really know me. They're just not around a lot. Yeah, its hard, but things will get better. By March, I'll have all my close, true friends around me, and look back at governor's school and laugh.

I dislike how you blindly accuse me of things. Someone you're very close to and care greatly about, was once in an "hour of darkness." I feel like I helped them through that, even though I turned away from them this year when they were absolutely heartbroken by a breakup. I wanted to console the person, but so utterly regretted making the hookup that I had a hard time bearing the pain from doing that. I was selfish, and the cycle continued.

I held three jobs this summer, taught fifty 4th graders how to crotchet, looked out for my friends, taught a few people English and got them jobs. I have regular gigs. I do everything in my power to help the people I care about. I can walk outside and sell 1000 boxes of girl scout cookies, and then jump off a roof with a skateboard. I once held a sponsorship. I've been accepted into colleges, and I've been given a lot of money. My dream for 4 years was governor's school. At the beginning of this year, I realized that I no longer wanted to be there. I still tried as hard as possible to get to class on time, and get Nurse Gail to show up on time, I still did my work, I still became involved. I thought I'd put up with it for someone who'd passed. I thought I'd put up with it for Bailey and Max.

If they let me back in, I don't want to return, for a few reasons, none of which involve how no one wants me there. I could care less what most of the students think. It wouldn't be the first time I was the outsider.

I can do well enough without Governor's School. Let's face it, my private teacher was better here, choir was better, math was better, social studies was better, we actually have computer science, and I could stay away from kids I didn't want to be involved with. I can take lessons in violin, voice, mandolin, guitar, piano, percussion and jazz studies with a trumpet teacher, I'm in drum and fife corps, and the Varsity softball team. I already have 3 chamber groups, and I finally have time to go to church.

Smoking at the governor's school to me seemed a space and time filler. I didn't do it at home, because I didn't have time. I have easily broken the habit without the help of anything. Someone we both know partied and smoked worse and more than I did. I don't even party so yeah.

I think what I really meant by no one really knows me, is that the people that make silly assumptions about me and the people around me don't really know me.

I've gotten myself to London, into Governor's school, into Elite strings, the craft job I wanted, into Berklee, ECU, and Guilford, and gotten the scholarships and dorms I wanted. I have people that genuinely care about me.

I think that you know nothing about me, so stop pretending you do.
