(no subject)
alright so i haven't updated in a while. basically not too much has happend you know the whole i actually graduated thing and all that was cool. anyways onto the actual part of this post.
so this past weekend i was at debate nationals up in milwaukee. and naturally im like damnit i gotta go to milwaukee to do a debate this is really going to blow. but anyways so it starts off with me and david driving down to the airport which was rather uneventful which is good. but we get there and myke and ike still aren't there yet and i have to start off with dealing with dick stern and Mrs. dick stern. neither of which i can stand in the least. but anyways so mrs. dick stern asks me where myke and ike are and i reply that they are 10 minutes away and she proceeds to ask are they in the parking lot or are they 10 minutes away. anywas so me and david just stare at her like she is a fucking idiot. but anyways so myke and ike get there and we go to get our tickets and low adn behold the plane they originally had wasn't working and we had to take a plane that left a good 3 hours later. which kinda sucked but we sat in the airport and played spades and got voucher's that went to the school and got to fight mrs. dick stern for the voucher that she wouldn't give up. that was rather funny. so anyways we get to milwaukee and go out to eat at this rather expensive place where the food really wasn't all that great but it was fun none the less.
anyways so that was day 1. day to ended up with us waking up at like 5 in the morning to start debating at 7. the debates themselves were basically a bunch of joke debates that were retarded cuz the judges were stupid and all like were going to make this like not policy and it was gay and everything. so we ended up 2-3 which was fine cuz it ment we didn't debate the next day which was sweet and all. plus my final round ever took a total of like 37 minutes and a normal round should take a full hour and a half. so we kicked that teams ass really easily and everyone was happy until we realized that we now had to wait for everyone else to get done so it was really couterproductive to what we wanted but oh well. oh and throughout the day i hung out with sophie and abby and arianna and katie which was fun but anyways. so later that night me and david decided we were going to go over and hang out with sophie, arianna, and katie (who are like the coolest debaters that i know now) from lake highland. which we did and they decided to watch fight club on josh marshall's laptop so we all watched the movie and just hung out there til like 3 somethign in teh morning and thinking myke or ike might get mad or something but neither was there so it was all cool.
so day 3 starts out with us waking up and wanting to go out and get some food. so we walked around for what seems like forever and come to this restaurant in a hotel that was pretty good and not too high priced even though it looked like it might be when we first sat down. but anyways so we sat there and had breakfast and wasn't all that exciting whatsoever. so we leave there and go to this used book store that has like every single book you could ever imagine to be there and we sat around there and looked for like half an hour until i got bored and went to meet up with sophie. so i met up with sophie and she was with arianna and katie and naturally we went back to the bookstore that i was just at and sophie went like crazy when she saw the record collection that they had there and spent the rest of her money that she had on her buying like 5 records and wanting to get more but she couldn't but that was rather funny to watch her like wig out and all. but yea so we left there and myke, ike, david, and arianna went my hotel and i went with sophie and katie to their hotel to hang out some more. and yea so sophie got mad at me for doing things but i think she is cool with it cuz like i said i was just going to do it once and all so its cool. but then we started to watch anchorman on sophie's laptop but stopped a little ways into it cuz they went back to the bookstore with their team. so i went back to my hotel and hung out with myke cuz he was the only one there. and we left later to go back to hang out with abby for a little while and they got pizza and just sat and talked for a while and i left with david to go watch donnie darko up with sophie, arianna, and kaite but sophie had left with a friend and we had to run and give her money at applebee's cuz she left it and me and katie freaked her out because the doors were locked so we peered through the window at her and it was funny and everything. but anyways so we went back and finished anchorman while waiting for josh to show up to watch donnie darko. so we watched that and then had like this talk on the philosophy of donnie darko at like 2 in the morning that i just wasn't up to. but then we just chilled til like 5 30 in the morning and i had a really good time so it was all good.
so then on monday myke and i went to culver's and got food and milkshakes and then we decided to walk over to the museum where winter springs and timber creek were and meet up with them but the line was too long to get tickets so we just walked around and looked at the lake and then saw that the museum had a cafe so we went and checked it out and found two kids from winter springs down there so we went and sat and talked with them and everything. so then i was thinking how it was sad that i didn't get to say bye to any of the aformentioned people from highlnad but liek at that very instant katie showed up in the cafe so i at least got to say peace out to her. but i didn't say bye to sophie which was sad but its cool cuz im like talking to her now and we are going to hang out so its all good. anywas so the flight back was rather uneventful other than nobody really liked dick stern and like even the winter springs coach didn't like him at all and it was funny and everything but its cool.
anywas so that was my weekend and now i just gotta figure out when all i am going to hang out with the cool people that i have mentioned before and everything. plus i need to try and get pictures from everyone so i can put them on my LJ or my myspace. so keep checking and i will try to get those up cuz there are some cool pictuers that were taken. but until then peace out yall.
