Reel-y help and pencil woes

May 24, 2006 02:23

Hey hey guys..first off I should say I feel awefully bad 'bout the lack of art lately. It's been due to a combination of things but mainly 1. I have a cousin comming to spend the weekend and Matthew and I have been going crazy trying to clean the house (no small task might I add since it's been a loooong while since any cleaning has taken place in this home) and 2. I think my muse has decided to take a hike. I have no idea where she went, but I just can't seem to find anything to draw, or when I do draw it all seems to come out horribly wonky and gross. It's driving me nuts!! I think my pencil is partially to blame, since the lead I have in it now is just unusually hard despite the fact that it's supposed to be HB...it's scratchy, brittle and pointy and literally pokes holes in the paper :P I prefer softer leads, a nice smooth connection with the paper really helps me get into the right head space...and right now this lead is like nails on a chalk board..blegh.., I wish mechanical pencil lead wasn't such a gamble..you never seem to know what quality your going to get (and I am too lazy to use a regular pencil, I hate having to stop every few moments to sharpen...and with the way I draw I'd be going through 1-2 a day)

But enough of my rambling! I wanted to ask a quick favor of you guys... I know some of you might have seen this already, but a few days ago I uploaded my demo reel to my website...

However, I'm getting conflicting responces on whether or not it actually works..for example, my parents can't seem to get it working on their computers, but Matthew and I can play it on ours... I was wondering if you guys could take a few minutes to check it out and let me know if it works for you or not...? It's my first time adding video to a website so I have no idea if I did it properly...

Thanks so much guys! You are all too sweet! :)
