It's been quite some time since my last posting. I've been contemplating my LJ for some time now and have actually let my "paid" account lapse. Some of it was that I tended to be on LiveJournal less and less and finding myself in the Facebook world more and more. I also have been having issues with getting spammed out the wazoo here on LJ. I'm sure you've already experienced the phantom "readers" making comments to your postings that have nothing to do with what you've posted. Complaining to the LJ staff doesn't get you anywhere except the canned 'apology'.
Anyways, life goes on and I'll post here on occasion, but not as frequent as I have in the past. I will, however, do my best to keep up with everyone's postings as much as I can.
There's some good news lately... Just a few days ago I was blessed with reaching my Aids LIfeCycle minimum of $3000. I'm actually slightly above it right now and it took an enormous weight off my shoulders as we are less than 30 days away from the actual ride! Within the next few weeks I have to manage to get myself a new sleeping bag, get my eyes examined, participate in the Long Beach Pride festival & parade, have Eric with me for Memorial Day weekend, ship my bike up to San Francisco, work 3 days, and end up on my flight up to SF on 6/3! Oy!
Thank you, to all my LJ Donators for keeping with me these past 5 years! This WILL (and a huge promise to my mom) be my last ride. I know I've said that before, but it's really something special to know I've been making a difference in lives. However, after 5 years I think it's time to 'pass the torch' and make way for a new rider to take my spot. Will I return sometime in the future? That's up to the Universe to decide. Over my "off" year(s), I'd like to do a bit more traveling and focus on Eric & my relationship as we've been growing strong over the past few months.
Yes, Eric & I have really grown well together. I'm on cloud 9 with him and I'm really looking forward to the future.
So there you have it. I don't know what a non-paid account here will hold as far as my posting, but we shall see...
G'night!
