I planted the peonies. I'm excited about them. STill need to plant the irises and the onions, but we'll get there.

However, I dug up another dozen or so of those fat white grubby things, so I decided to look them up. Big surprise, they're Japanese beetle grubs. SONOFABITCH.

I'm looking into methods for prevention and reduction of damage, especially since we JUST planted a cherry tree. For you garden/lanscaping types, any recommendations? I've heard mixed reports about all of the methods out there, so I'm torn.

In the meantime, I'm going to go feed my plants. This afternoon I'm going to try to dig/cut more of that one vine out, since that's where most of them were hanging out last year. Especially since I don't want Japanese beetles hanging out by the patio!

EDIT 14:22 EDT: Well, this just keeps getting better and better. I was actually feeling pretty good up until I went to get my oil changed and they refused to do it because there appears to be something very wrong with my car. I didn't tell them it's been doing this since I bought it, but I'm still going to have to have it checked out apparently. :(

Plus, oh_chris apparently gave me the wrong prescription bottle (as in, the number on the bottle didn't actually have refills like it was supposed to). They found the right one, but only after they searched for 5 minutes for the refill that was supposed to be completed already.

One thing I must say, I actually like CVS. I've been through quite a few pharmacies around here for one reason or another, and the people at my CVS are the nicest, most helpful, most amiable people I've ever met at a store. So at least there's that.

I'm trying to convince myself to do the dishes and shower. I just want to nap, though.
