Wiki-ing the Blues Hall of Fame gives me people.

I'd like to listen to the blues, some soul, maybe some neo-soul. It'd be great to sing to. Also some indie. Looking up music will be a new hobby. I wrote a lot in Europe, so I might not write a lot about it, though I did realize some stuff, particularly about my mom. I want my photos! I gave them to somebody else to upload and such but I want to seeeee them. Gah. A lot. And I want to keep working on my photo book. I keep missing all these convenient photo 'how-to' classes. Bah. Ooh, and I want to see Dr. No tomorrow, maybe with some of the ushmm kids. iwantiwantiwant. I feel bad for mosquitos. Well, a little bit bad. According to wikipedia (an oh so great source of information) most female mosquitos, since females are the only ones who participate in haematophagy (I could've just said 'drinking blood' but I wanted to use the new word) are the ones who bite/suck/dine/attack, but they don't need it for survival. They do need 'supplemental substances' for egg development, though, so it seems as if blood is a great source of that.

So they're just trying to get by like the rest of us. Too bad mosquitos are supposedly the most deadly 'disease vectors' known. We kill them for who they are. What am I saying. I'm going on about nile virus spreaders when I'm perfectly fine with eating certain animals. Well, I'm not perfectly fine with it, I sort of debate about it in my head and have for the past X years, since middle school, mostly, so about 5 years. Somebody gave me a good argument for meat-eating, which was that other animals eat other animals, so it's the natural order. I'm pretty sure that's what Edwin said. But than later I thought, well, as humans and therefore sort of the most intelligent species out there on this earth (known, at least, and emphasis on sort of, not for sarcasm, actually, because of screwing up things like the world and the lives of others), we should know better than to eat other once-animate beings. I mean, a praying mantis eating her mate (apparently that's called 'sexual cannibalism,' so throwing this other new term out there) occurring doesn't justify the hypothetical house-mom devouring her husband after a tough day of baking, no? This is also not very smart, but I once saw this image of a puppy or dog with the question of 'Would you eat me?' underneath it, which may end up leading back to being a form of pro-vegetarianism propaganda hoping to trap the semi-spineless like me, but it was a well-posed question. Many people would say no because hey, 'I don't want to eat Sparky' going on, but people often don't name the fish, cows, pigs, etc. they're going to eventually kill, what if you (I don't know who I'm speaking to)...so how would eating a cow that's not personal to you be different than eating a dog that's not personal to you? 'Because I've known some dogs personally in my life.' Not this one, and other people have known some cows, pigs, lamb personally in their lives, and yet you eat them. --I eat them.

My friend (I thought about crossing that out because its this complicated thing, but writing 'My Rick' also would be wrong because he isn't mine to have) said that I shouldn't care because I'm Catholic, and the subject changed after that so I should ask him or somebody else about it. Wait, I'm not sure if it changed, either way I can see that argument because I don't believe animals have an after-life. I can see this entry getting philosophical, because it can start leading onto whether they have emotions. Emotions seem apparent in dogs and probably other animals...agh I forget what I learned in philosophy on this matter. Well, attempting to stick to the after-life subject, even though they can't oh dang I'm dumb - even though they can't/may not feel emotional pain, they still feel physical pain, which led me back to reminding me of my decision to buy only peacefully killed meat when I'm an adult. Ooh, something to write about in photo book: i thought about shooting things with normal life facets rather than a studio like setting, but then I realized just now that people want the focus to be on the issue of the photo, not everything else involved. Expand. But back to what I was saying, someone once said [this was years ago at IFTA] that if the animals are leading horrible and pain-filled lives then wouldn't it be better if they died? Rather then not eat them. Oh, and I used to think about how me not eating meat wouldn't change much, but I think Sarah told me that vegetarians save seventy-something lives a year.

I thought about not eating meat when ever I eat with Sarah. Not necessarily to respect her beliefs, but to give me an occasion on which I could try out vegetarianism. I have it in my head that meat isn't the healthiest thing, though it is healthy, it provides protein (I try ordering chicken a lot of the time for both it being healthier than red meat and the price), but a lot of the meat America gets is more unhealthy because of the hormones it gives the animals.

Gotta get dressed (I do this thing where I get out of the shower and then go on Michelle's laptop in my room in just my towel) and then go eat lunch, which probably has some sort of meat in it.

I need to go shopping like woah.
