I like my lists. Cassie likes lists too.

Summer goals as of Tuesday, June 10, 2008, 4:12 P.M. (now I sound like an a-hole):
  1. Read at least for one hour a day. To me, this seems like I'm pushin' it, but I have a lot I want to get read and feel like I either need to do it this summer or should do it now before the lack of time in senior year hits (list currently includes: Fahrenheit 451, the bible, part of Mao, English Assignment, whatever that is, Spanish Literature (I was thinking something from my heritage so it'd be vocab that'd be more useful to me, so Gabo made sense to read. I might try to find some Spanish Chick Lit, though, because it'd fit my usual reading material plus be easier to understand; Gabo might be too hard to try right now) in Spanish, the newspaper/news articles, genocide lit, old psych text, old philosophy text, historical investigation documents, at least some of The Norton Book of Women's Lives because it seems important to read before senior year and when I have time to think about it and somewhat soon after receiving it as an award ('The Wellesley College Book Award' - I was happy to receive, and it was part of the instigator for the prior entry). I will have times where I just sit there and purely read, but I figure I can read and tan at the same time, or read and eat, like I like to do, or read and drive.
  2. Run before USHMM. I'll build it up. This combined with physics also gave me the idea to ride my bike to school next year. It's not that far, it's good exercise, saves gas, and it just seems like a cool idea over all. It gives me time to think on the way to school. The only downside I can see is showing up all sweaty and smelly, so I'll probably have to ride some this summer. So new addendum to the list, haha:
  3. Ride my bike some.
  4. Practice the piano/keys, as well as the guitar and singing.
  5. Gather ideas for IB Visual Arts theme/do artsy things in general.
  6. Work.
I have other activities as far as having fun goes in mind, but that's it for more official goals (the fun stuff includes outdoor movies, canoing with Becca, things like that :D )
By the way, there will be no reading and driving. I'm not THAT bad of a driver haha :D
