i drafted in 3rd position, and feel i ended up with a decent team, though not at all what i anticipated. for instance, i thought that at the tail end of round 2 or 3rd pick of round 3 i'd be looking at top flight wr or qb, but apparently other people wanted those in early round 2, so i thought i was best to take a reasonbly good rb instead of a third best wr or qb. was i right? only time will tell. based on the fact that i can start 3 rb's, i'm kind of excited about my possibilities. here's my squad:
RB: Larry Johnson, Kevin Jones, Brian Westbrook, Chris Brown, Mike Bell
WR: Hines Ward, Jevon Walker, Joey Galloway, David Givens, Corey Bradford, Brandon Stokely, Vincent Jackson
QB: Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, Matt Leinert
TE: Chris Cooley
K: please, who drafts a kicker? honestly
DEF: undrafted. i plan on picking up a new one each week. whoever is playing GB, HOU, JAX, TENN, something like that.
Vincent Jackson is a guy i read is trying to be #2 for SD, but i have a feeling that some combination of he, Brandon Stokely and chris brown will become my kicker and defense. sadly, through week 4 i need a ton of receivers because my top three all have byes that week. poor planning. also, it would be great if arizona would be really clear on who their qb will be all season.
kevin jones was a homer pick with possibly a better back still on the board, but i have high hopes for he and the newly qb'ed lions. hines ward was another pick i debated, between he and chris chambers. but i wore a ward jersey to the draft, and flipped a coin, and it came up ward. whether that was good or not, time will tell.
comments, criticisms welcome.
