Finally my company laptop is in. I picked it up yesterday. Of course, I had to load some of the software myself. It looks like I'll have to pay for AOL or some other sort of internet service as well. Screwy!
The bitch next door moved out. Finally, a bit of peace! I'm sure the apartment manager will replace her with someone just as unwonderful, but in the mean time it's peaceful...except for the loons directly above me.
I am having a great time teaching self defense course at Mercy College. The students seem to like what they're learning too. I got back my first evaluation from my department head last week. She had sat through part of a class the previous week. I received excellent marks on all levels. Nice. And no, I didn't change any part of class to impress her. *g* Oh, and I get to flunk 4-5 students right now. How exciting for me. *eg* They've not shown up for 4 classes in a row. They are only allowed to miss two classes. Too bad, not sad. It's their own faults. They were warned. *veg*
One of the fleet managers I work with will be leaving for Iraq in a few weeks. Well hell. He's a great guy and I'm going to miss him. Good thing we've decided to trade postcards, letters, and email while he's gone. Soon I'll have 2 people in Iraq to worry about. I'd druther not have them there, you know.
