this weekend was pretty good. saw the borat movie on friday and it was awesome. saturday night i saw the cramps play and it was fucking awesome. one of the best shows ive been to this year and that is saying a lot. the original person i was going with had to unfortunately bail on me but i managed to pawn off the ticket on jeremi which was good.
i was expecting a shitload more people so we got there super early. like...around 7ish. when we got there it was completely empty about 30 people waiting to get in. finally they let people in and the first band didnt even go on till 8. the groovie ghoulies were first and they kicked ass!!!! went outside and drank and talked to people. the next band was called "the demolition dollrods" i really dont have any idea how to explain this band. we saw about 5 songs by them since we couldnt hear the music from outside. it was two girls and a guy and the girls wore bikini's and the guy wore....well i dont know how to explain it. it was pretty much just sleeves and a speedo haha. they were quite interesting.
the cramps fucking rocked. i was really surprised. their singer has to be at least....60 id say and rocked. great stage pressence and execution. their guitarist she was at least 50 but was hot as hell. sean yseult (who used to play bass for white zombie) now plays for the cramps. yeah i would have asked her to marry me if i could. haha. seriously fucking awesome. im glad i got to see them and can cross them off the list of bands i wanted to see in my life.
