well, kinda. Katy asked me yesterday to get back to musings and ruminations...problem is I don't have many anymore. I think I've been too busy, and not getting to enjoy life enough at this point to even have any observations worth relaying.
*sigh*
My favorite LJ regarding Le Bloom has collapsed into one big bash session in anticipation of the premiers of POTC2 and Superman Returns. I can't understand why people post at a journal if they don't like the subject. But the owner doesn't seem to mind, so I just don't visit as much. Most of the diehards are in a state anyway, since Orlando's last two films were kinda flops (not in my opinion), and that he's still dating the Bozz....she's just the anti-christ to them. I happen to like her, or at least I find her relatively unobjectionable, and he could certainly do a lot worse. Meh.
Then there's Foo. My love/hate relationship continues. There are the usual dustups between the brigade and Karan, who has few if any allies left. It's some crazy shit, but even I find her complete stupidity and lunacy boring. I guess I'm trying to escape the drama now. I lurk but post only occasionally. Not much to talk about over there either.
Real life? Hm. Getting ready for the end of school. My kids are so DONE. Poor babies. Kat is out next week, and the boy is done the week after. Then we're off to Bermuda aboard Explorer of the Seas. With Greg's whole family. :\ Nah-it'll be really fun. I just can't wait to get away from work and from the fucking RAIN!!!! *crosses fingers for sunny sailing*
Musings? Ruminations? We got news today of the demise of Zarqawi. I don't know...is it ever right to celebrate the death of anyone, even the real awful ones? Besides, I don't know all the much about him anyway. I don't really care much, but I do believe that making a martyr out of the man may be exactly what the enemies want. But he had to go I guess. I hope it helps the morale of our troops, I know that much.
Gay marriage amendment? Apparently not. And you know-isn't the Constitution and the Bill of Rights supposed to DEFEND liberties, to extend protections, not eliminate them? I don't know the text verbatim, but it seems to me it's all about granting freedom, not taking it away.
I discovered Brandi Carlson, thanks to my big sis. Great folky, relaxing music. Such a relief from the barrage of shit on the radio. Not to mention it protects me from the morons I work with. Oh what a set of headphones can do!!
So there you have it, folks. I promise my next entry won't be so dour. Promise! :)
