She gave me “A” (though it would have been an A+ if I’d included a bibliography) Here are some songs by groups I started listening to fairly recently, so hopefully some of them may be new to you as well:
Ain’t No Grave (Crooked Still) - Crooked still is a Bluegrass band I fell for after I heard this song in Trueblood; the lyrics take on a rather different meaning in that context.
After Party (Ozomatli)
Angels and Sailors (Dwaun) - A song about cruising around in a convertible that makes you want to cruise around in a convertible.
Aubrey Sky (Grin’s Edge)
Angry Johnny (Poe) - I really love Poe’s smooth voice, especially when she combines it with dark, abrasive lyrics.
