Ugh, I have got to wash my sweater but with our squeaky lord and master lurking around it's going to be a trick.

He's got Oliver completely under his tiny paw, by the way. I took the kitten into my room this morning because Oliver was sleeping on the floor and the kitten was curled up on Mom's neck (suggestion to name kitten Nightmare squashed by senior human female) and told him to get up on the bed. Later on, when I basely got up and kicked the kitten off my bed, I walked into Mom's room to get a towel, and the dog was on the floor and yes, the kitten was curled up beside Mom. Dog was informed he was a ridiculous weenie and when last seen was curled humbly at the foot of the bed as the kitten arranged himself more comfortably on the pillows. 9____9

I'm sure there's a more efficient way to wash handknits, but I have a pretty good system, I think. I take a storage container, one of the 20 or 10 quart ones, fill it with water in the tub, add Eucalan (I have the lavender scented type and I need to get more soon, but that bottle's lasted for nearly a year, I think - of course I also have a yippie earth friendly delicate wash I use for other stuff, but the Eucalan doesn't need to be rinsed out) and then put the sweater in, let it soak for about twenty minutes, giving it a very gentle swish a time or two, then pour the water off into the tub, carry it to the washer and turn the knob to "Drain and Spin". That gets most of the water out and then I can let it air dry. This time around I'm drying the sweater on the bed (the last few times I've dried it on a sweater dryer in the living room) on a old flannel sheet, so I can shut our squeaky lord and master out of the room.

(He doesn't know what I'm talking about, he says indignantly. It's like I think he's going to chew the sweater or claw the hood cord or something!)
