Yesterday mostly involved driving into town, getting home, discovering that Mom had meant hot dogs and not hot dog buns and then driving back to the mini-market (only four miles away!) and snabbing the last package there. Also lying on the grass with Muttface and hanging out with Neighbors and Cousins and Stepsister. It was pretty awesome.
Finished up what I have of Kiva and started Boukenger. Truly, everybody was right about Red/Black. Oh, Black, you tiny, pissy, adorable uke, just admit you want Red like a whole bunch, it will be easier on you in the end. (Except not, knowing Red, the stinker. HOLY CRAAAAP that scene where Red is all I ALWAYS GET MY PREY AND YOU'RE ITTTT was super hot.) I love you and your totally straight earrings a lot already. In fact I like the entire team a lot already except for Yellow, who is going to have to work hard to get me to like her. I don't really like twee childish girly characters that much -- although I would totally write about her and Black a lot. I don't even know if I want to ship them as a couple. I just want to write about Black's embarrassing (for him) desire to mommy the hell out of her.
Blue is also rapidly growing on me. (Leather pants. I think we can all just agree that I'm That Kind of Fangirl.) I really like Pink, too, although I'm scared to read fic about her.
Production values are just as bad as advertised, although considering I used to watch the first American Power Ranger series and unironically enjoyed the hell out of it, I'm not complaining. I think their budget went to pyrotechnics. >_> Also, Becky, I think you're right, it does seemed dubbed, and I think it might have a separate voice track. If you watch the actors' mouths, they don't move their lips very much, so it's possible it's on purpose? they do get dubbed pretty quickly for other language markets.
I don't know who they're trying to get us to ship Wataru with D: D: D: First it was Megumi, then it was Nago (poor crazy lamb) and now it's the Osaka rocker dude. And according to wiki there's an actual girl coming in, although going by this series, she's either going to die or be a Fangire.
Poor crazy Nago, he needs to remember his meds. :< I lol'd when he chased the Fangire criminal dude all over town screaming "BUUUUUTTOOOON" though. And then busted the dude from the police and the dude let him take the button.
I'm still laughing at how his big machine thing is basically a CAT. I'm going to start calling it the IXA Forklift, I swear to God.
I'm still annoyed at Megumi and Yuri not being able to deal damage, and I still want them to freaking be Riders eventually, but I forgave Megumi a lot when she thought it through and gave it back to Nago and then they worked together. Which was super hot also.
Wataru possessed by Otoya, how awesome was that. I'm sure that everybody felt the same cold chill I did at the thought of Otoya allowed to run free on the Internet.
And I can't be the only one who saw Maya and saw how she interacted with Otoya and then saw her with a freaking Kivat and shrieked, "IT'S WATARU-MAMA!"
And once Kiva 21 finishes tediously torrenting, I will only be two episodes behind Japan! I, I don't know how I feel about this. o_o;
Uhhh right Meg vs Antidepressants round 5 - well, it's working as advertised mostly, only of course I go around yawning all day and wake up at night, and either my allergies are especially epic or I just spent the past two days with a med headache. T_T I get a little loopy after I take it, but that's fading. I'm sure it will show up again nicely next Wednesday when I double to the regular dose. I have had more interest in doing things besides reload the internet in hopes it will do a trick, though! So that's good.
Becky sent the Kabuto OST. GUYS, THERE IS THREE DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF 'GOD BLESS AMERICA' LISTED ON THE TRACKS. ;_____; And there's still bits that sound like FF8 to me, I don't know why. I even went and looked the dude up, he hasn't done anything I've ever really seen.
OKAY I SLINK TOWARD WORK. Will be at comic store afterward, barring acts of God or feeling dead. T_T
