I am at Carrie's because Patsy the Nurse gave me a ride home -- because the roads are pretty good but I am a weenie and I accept and embrace that part of my personality and you know what, I am okay with it. I am also okay with taking the bus to work tomorrow, especially if Carrie can lend me some shoes because mine have inconviently died. There's another round of snow supposed to hit at eight or so, but right now it's partly cloudy and above freezing, so we'll see. I'm not driving until I can take the chains off and not die. I did check at Walmart about new tires but Gingetsu's type are apparently stupidly expensive -- averaging around $75 each, plus hopeful remarks about lifetime warranties.

The last time I checked there was ten inches of snow and no electricity out London; the dog has invented a new game that consists of having a ball thrown for him, digging it gleefully out of the snow and snurfling and hunting for it, and then dropping the ball on purpose and hunting for it again. Mom says she has pictures. They are staying in Grandma's house, which has an actual wood stove.

123 is convinced in her heart that if she only tells me about the superior way she has in mind for the button closing on the sweater enough times, I will see the light and change it instantly. (There's an open space on the front that nobody else seems to find odd -- in fact, one family member with enough money to buy it from me at full cost for my labor said, What a pretty sweater, and I said, Thank you, I finished it today, and she was honestly surprised -- and it offends her sense of propriety somehow.) Otherwise it is super popular, especially with the residents, which a little disturbing but I knew when I made it they were going to just love it, and so I have no one to blame but myself.

222, God bless him, said that the yarn was very nubby and rough, which cleverly disguised the lumps and bumps, and he supposed it would look neat if I pressed and starched it. After I recovered from the instinctive horror that little suggestion produced, I said as nicely as possible that the yarn was supposed to look rustic. (Which makes him the first person besides me to notice or care that the body and hood are the sweater is unevenly knitted. Sigh.) 132 wanted to know how much it would have cost if bought, and I said, well, adding 7.50USD x five for cost of material, which would be 37.50USD and a dollar an hour for time, which is what it usually ends up being because of people not wanting to pay for stupid labor .... 77.50USD? call it 80USD. She said I should get ten dollars an hour and I said, Yes, but nobody's willing to freaking pay it.

Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me single plus I Like A Boy In Uniform (School Uniform) for the three of you not already --- oh goddammit, it's not on it after all. Well, never mind, the file name lies, it's just the Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me single, which is sheer awesome as it is. "I Love You" is a 1:35 lesson on making your point and getting the hell out.

Namida-kun Sayonara and LionHEART by TOKIO for canis_m -- she actually just wanted LionHEART but I think everybody should hear Namida-kun Sayonara just for the sheer nerd involved.

snow, pink sweater of doom, girlgroups are also awesome, music, rl
