trauma

I bought a package of black stitch markers from Soft Horizons the other day, for the mildly outrageous price of $3.50. I got home, opened the package, and stared at one for a second.

"Does this look like a lamb cheerio to you?" I say to my mother.

"...well it's a little thinner," says Mom, squinting. "But yes, it does look like a lamb cheerio."

"TRAUMA," I reply.

For those of you not raised in the country and have managed to successfully avoid sheep, a lamb cheerio is a small, hard rubber band that you put around a lamb's tail to make it lose circulation and fall off so instead of the long tail that sheep are born with you have the short tail that they can't cover with shit and grossness.

TRAUMA.
