One Yule Percy spent the entire month before patiently following behind Borus and saying "No, Lady Chris probably does not want a sword polishing kit -- even with a superfine pumice stone, no" and "she has a sword like that already" and things like that until Borus, vibrating with worry and obscure pride that he was buying Lady Chris a Yule present!!! settled on a saddle skirt for her horse. At which point Percy shrugged and told him it was beautiful, and Chris thanked him very much and actually used it sometimes, so Borus was happy.

Percy got Chris a pair of lavender scented embroidered gloves.

I've got this problem with writing holic fic because I want it to sound like the series, which has some of that uncanny quality of an old ink painting. I don't know if I can really do it or not. Also I write a lot less Donuts than I would really like to because I spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to express their dynamic and the way that Domeki, in my head, is really attracted to Watanuki and yet would not do anything about it. This happens a lot in CLAMP series, I find ( ... )
