just so we're totally clear.
Sora wakes up with something soft and spider-webby tickling his nose and something warm and heavy lying on his chest. It takes him a moment and then he realizes what the two sensations are and what they mean.
"Still beating," he says, his voice rough with sleep.
"Had to check," says Riku, not moving his head.
Sora sighs deeply and lifts one hand. It's heavy with tiredness and he feels warm and slow. He rests it on Riku's head. Riku's hair is fine and soft, almost like Kairi's. "You need a hair cut."
"At least my hair doesn't look like I stuck my finger in a light socket," says Riku, without real heat. He doesn't move his head and Sora knows he won't, not for a long time. He wakes up sometimes in the middle of the night and has to listen to Kairi or Sora's hearts beating before he can sleep again.
Sora falls asleep again, his fingers tangled in Riku's hair, and when he wakes up Riku's head is still on his chest.
last night I walked into the garage, wondered briefly what was different and then walked into my room and then had to call Cecil over at Grandma's and go HARTS at him a lot because he finally set up my bed, which means I can put crap under it. Also my bed is now like, three feet off the floor and Oliver is giving it and me looks.
PEE ESS; please dear weather fairies I have cute strappy sandals and a cute dress, please don't let the sky open up on me. ;_;
