1. I don't know why -- actually I DO know why, it's full moon tomorrow -- but this week has been crazy at work even though they had to rejig the clusters and I lost a person today. Clusters = people I am assigned to work with btw. I am a little annoyed because I just spent two months carefully conditioning this person to believe me when I tell her that everything is okay and there is no reason to flip out and now she's got to start all over again.
1b. I can't lie, I thought if anybody was going to leave on my cluster it should be the extremely needy one who follows you around all day saying "thank you Jesus" and "oh honey you're beautiful" and grabbing your hand and trying to kiss you. Which, I am usually down with wandering around holding hands with people but with this one ... no. Just. No.
1c. It's the needy thing mostly. Also she whines.
1d. So they finally installed the carpet in the upstairs dining room, which involved a giant dust cloud that left us all wheezing like the last stages of consumption. THX GUYS.
2. My Nook is trudging from Nevada to my waiting arms (really there was none nearer than Nevada? and REALLY it takes 5 days -- ordered it on Friday, it went out on Monday, will be here Thursday -- to get here? I could drive to Nevada and back to buy one faster, dudes ... there, I shouldn't grouch, that's still two days quicker than the Lloyd Center B&N thought they'd get them in stock) and I am trying to think of a name.
I'd like to give it an X-men name since I ordered it on the same day that I watched the movie, but I don't know. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of names that would be good luck for electronics. I guess I could call it Hank. Let's be honest, can Logan actually read? Mer suggested Deadpool but I'm not that familiar with the comics version (...I don't want to be, I just want to pick one damn canon and stick to it, Marvel, thank you and your CONSTANT FUCKING REBOOTS anyway). Hmm. I may name it after Erik but that might end in tears. Lehnsherr or something.
