Last night Kumori con had a charity auction for Japan. It was fun times!
The big lot was a best two out of three Magic game with Todd Haverkorn -- dude did Watanuki and Italy -- and a friend and I ended up winning it. It's going straight back to con, though. She mostly wanted to donate money for the thing, and I don't care to have a bunch of fangirls laughing their asses off as Watanuki heckles me through three extremely short games. I'm liaising again this year anyway so it's not like, omg I just lost my only chance ever to meet Todd Haverkorn. Kate promised to print me off another copy of the Magic card she mocked up and we'll just look really sad until he signs it for me.
So if you are at Kumoricon 2011 and you wish to have the English voice actor of Watanuki school you at Magic: the Gathering, it will be a thing! Dunno how Relations is going to do it yet. It would be great for Charity Auction but we would have to figure out the schedule for it, so dunno yet.
(Obviously this is all Dawn's fault.)
Yesterday I left the house at eight thirty to get my hair cut, decided rashly to get coffee instead of waiting for ten minutes, got there at 9:04 and then sat for half an hour waiting because the person who was supposed to do my actual haircut had called in and I was stuck making tragic faces at everybody who walked by. They ended up guiltily comping my haircut. It's good to be a regular. Plus the Dude Instructor was working with that group so he totally stood and redid it after she got it done.
Then went over to Happyknits and got the Last Skein -- well, okay, it was held back for me, because again it is good to be a regular -- of the new limited edition Madeline Tosh laceweight in Happiness. they have the shorter Knitpicks fixed needles in now, I am so excited.
Not so exciting: finishing taxes. Sigh.
Didn't get home til almost one am. Kate, Dawn and Eiji got to talking, and at about 1245 they woke me up from a confused dream that Eiji had gotten a job caregiving but wasn't telling me where, exactly, and it was within walking distance, wasn't it?
