VEGETARIANISM: so far so good although yesterday I could feel a cold coming on and I was tired and wet and crabby, so I went to Koji's by Pioneer Square and had udon. Bean curd and egg, except there was a fish cake in and of course dashi is basically fish with water poured on top. I decided it was medicinal.
Weirdly I seem to have settled into the sort of fast where you don't eat a lot during the day, like maybe a salad and some bread, and as soon as the sun goes down I find myself inhaling ALL the things. F'instance tonight I had two Gardenburger patties, couscous and am methodically working my way through a thing of ice cream. If Haagen Daaz has gelatin in it DON'T tell me.
Not going to lie, I miss bacon. New Seasons has a huge sale going on with Gardenburgers, btw, 2 for $5, and I think one of the version is vegan.
(Item: why do people cut out dairy and egg and still call themselves vegetarian? wouldn't that be veganism?)
OKAMIDEN: This game and the cut scenes, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttt. I think I'm about a third or half way through the game. I also think the replay is going to be hilariously shorter without all the long ass talking going on, and of course they're fully animated and 'voiced' (all the vocals are like listening to the parents in Charlie Brown) so you can't scroll rapidly through to get to the information you need. Sit through that son of a bitch or skip it entirely and miss lavish chunks of plot. ... It is nice for when you inevitably need to redo a boss fight, mind.
Didn't feel up to cutscenes tonight so played Poekmans some more -- Amy and Sami are hilariously ahead of me d/t not having to obsessively play through Okamiden. N, you are a dick.
